Work with younger audiences

I've been working with children and young people for about 20 years now! My experience is a mixture of playwork, performance, support work in schools and arts workshop facilitation. Since 2004 I've been running Funsense Theatre Company, an arts organisation offering all sorts of arts and drama activities.

With the music side of things I am available to book to bring my songs to younger audiences. I visit community events as well as nurseries and schools, both special and mainstream. I enjoy performing shows that the children can be a part of as well as enjoy as an audience. My aim with a performance and/or workshops is to help children have fun and see the value of their work and ideas.

Workshops can focus on writing songs, animation, poetry or creating artwork and puppets and tie in with a theme if requested.
Egham Museum commissioned me to create four songs for young people, inspired by Magna Carta. These songs can be performed in schools with accompanying workshops. Details:

This is a storytelling session I run for 3-8 year olds at The Oval Tavern pub in Croydon. It takes place every Saturday 1-3pm apart from summer holidays when we have a break. Sessions mix storytelling and arts activities and children can tell stories with the things they've made. We make up stories and also read a selection of books from the box. Babies are welcome if supported by an accompanying adult. Full details at
